Uniform

All students are required to wear school uniform each day. Wearing a uniform helps students feel a sense of belonging and inclusion in our school community.

Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

Our uniform concept design

The Googong Public School uniform visibly represents the element of water, an important and vital element of our conceptual design.

The strength and flexibility of water is key to its power. Its sheer force can move and erode mountains, cut metal and stone, and extinguish fire. Over time the persistence of water can completely transform the landscape. It is a vital life source and can be a calming and grounding influence.

To ensure continued survival, we need to care for and nurture water. It is the most precious of resources and therefore is an apt representation of our students that flow in, through and around our school.

We require our students to be active and comfortable every day. Our uniform has been designed to ensure students can be active and participate in daily sport and physical education (PE) activities. For this reason, we do not have a separate sports uniform.

The school has a 'no hat, play in the shade' policy and as such it is expected that the school hat is worn as part of the uniform each day in Terms 1 and 4. A beanie is available in Terms 2 and 3 for the colder days.
